Combined cooling air purification for ReiCat Industrial

Especially for industrial coffee roasting plants ReiCat is presently developing a patented purification process for the waste and cooling air.

Combined cooling air purification for Shop Roasters

Within the ReiCatino®  line ReiCat developed a cooling and waste air cleaning for shop roasters. By means of intelligent flap switching and air flow guidance, both the waste and the cooling air can be purified from smoke plumes and odours.

EXCLUSIVE COOLING AIR PURIFICATION

An independent – from the roasting waste air separated – cooling air purification can be offered by ReiCat to coffee roasters, who only have troubles with the cooling air.

Electrically operating catalytic air purification systems

In order to protect the environment and reduce fossil fuels in the future, more electrical energy must be used. In the shop roaster sector, this has already been successfully implemented for several years with the electrically powered ReiCatino® line. This is also ReiCat’s goal for industrial coffee roasting systems. Therefore, we’re are developing 100 % electrically powered air purification units.

1. What is a pre-filter?

  1. The pre-filter assists as an additional safety measure and filters further coffee chaffs that the cyclone does not capture from the waste air. In case of a cyclone failure this ensures the function of the catalyst and keeps it clean.

3. What is the difference between the ReiCatino® line and the other catalytic air purification solutions?

  1. The ReiCatino® line, especially designed for shop roasters and adapted to their needs, is electrically operated. The systems for specialty and industrial roasters are gas-operated.

4. From what plant size does an outdoor installation become possible?

  1. Indoor installation: ReiCatino® line
  2. Indoor and outdoor installation: ReiCat Gourmet and ReiCat Industrial

5. How does a catalytic air purification system (catalytic incineration system) work?

  1. The waste air contaminated with organic impurities is led to the catalytic air purification system via pipe and an on-site blower. The waste air is heated to the necessary reaction temperature by means of an electric hot air blower or a gas burner. A thermal reaction at the catalytic converter converts all impurities that are responsible for smoke and odour into harmless substances.

6. What does the maintenance include and how does it work?

  1. Basically, our catalytic air purification solutions only require little maintenance.
  2. Both the pre-filter and the honey comb catalyst of the catalytic air purification system can be cleaned with compressed air.

1. Does the exhaust air of the ReiCatino® have to be guided to the outside?

  1. Yes. With the ReiCatino® line the exhaust air must be led through a chimney.

2. How loud is the ReiCatino® ?

  1. The ReiCatino® line has a sound pressure level of max. 65 dB. A silencer is included in the scope of delivery, which significantly reduces this emission level.

1. Does the ReiCat Gourmet also meet the legal regulations on the prevention of air pollution of my country?

  1. With the ReiCat Gourmet ReiCat offers two solutions in one system. With a maximum exhaust air volume of 600 Nm³/h the ReiCat Gourmet ensures both the complete elimination of smoke plumes and odours. If required compliance with the emission reduction specifications explicit to the individual country can be provided by upgrading. In Germany this is regulated by the TA-Luft (Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control) and the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG), among others.
